Flip locks are designed not to catch on clothing.
Dual locking mechanisms, both twist lock and flip locks in each pole.

trekking poles

I've had had many sets of trekking poles but these are by far the best. The dual locking system makes them very secure and easy to adjust on the fly. They come with baskets for every train. The natural cork and foam make them very comfortable. I'm so glad I went with these instead of ones from a chain store.

All trekking poles are not created equal

I've been using trekking poles for about 10 years and they've saved my butt more than a few times. I thought poles were poles until I got these Gabels... What a difference. They're really solid and have increased support and confidence. Highly recommended.
