Purchased the SoLong 6 tent and some accessories. Local mail service delivered to wrong address and I never got my package. I emailed LightHeart gear and they replaced my entire shipment and shipped it the next day no questions asked. They also took care of the follow up with the local mail service. Amazing customer service.
Recently took my new Solong on its first trip out. 3 nights and it performed perfectly. It is easier to set up than I imagined and has an incredible amount of room. I was able to bring my pack and all my gear in with me.
I wasn't sure I would like the awning mode but it turns out that it's one of my favorite things in the Solong. That and the huge roof vents. I use a 25x77 rectangular pad and can put my pack at my feet and other stuff sacks and clothes at my head with room to spare.
This is one of the best gear purchases I have ever made!
Bought the Solong 6 a few years ago for a backpack elk hunt in Colorado. I’m 6’5”, so most standard tents just don’t quite fit me, and most that are made for taller folks get extremely heavy. Most of the guys I hunt with are also tall, and two of them ordered LHG Solong’s as soon as we got off the mountain. Zero complaints from any of us! Stayed dry nasty rain storms, and will be a LHG customer for a long time. They’re quite literally the best you’ll find in a 3 season tent!
All of my canoeing gear is ultralight so that I can single portage. The SoLong 6 is perfect for my needs because it's so roomy and light, and the awning allows me me a morning view of the lake by just opening my eyes! I have many ul solo tents and this one would be hard to beat.
Also, love the adjustable aluminum poles for uneven ground! LightHeart is the only place I have found them.
I'm 6' 8" tall and the 260 pound range. I purchased this tent (in Sil-Nylon) for a successful 2018 Appalachian Trail thru Hike. This tent has amazing room inside! It will easily fit hikers way taller than me. I kept my back pack above my head and had a ton of storage on either side of me. The way they designed the awning system allowed for good ventilation anytime I needed it. I spent 36 hours in this tent during a non stop rain outside Rangeley Maine. Not a single drop inside! I used Leki hiking poles for tent stays and the carbon fiber awning pole. I will be returning to the AT in 2020 for round two. I'll either take this trusted tent or purchase the Sil-Poly Camo version...either way, the So-Long is going with me. The Tyvex foot print is a GREAT companion purchase. After 180 days on trail, there are NO leaks in the floor of the tent. On the nights I chose to sleep in the AT shelters, I used the footprint under my gear to keep it clean and protect my air mattress. The decision to take this tent AGAIN on the AT in 2020 is a no brainer.
