I’ve been backpacking for a few years now and gradually replacing budget gear with quality. I’ve used this fleece on a weekend trip and it was exactly what I wanted. It’s very light, packs down small, and kept me comfortable in the evening and morning around camp. XL fit me as expected…much the same as other brands of clothing. Daytime temperatures were too warm for me to wear it on the trail, but I think it would be perfect while hiking in 45-60 degree temperatures. I like the quarter zip to more easily put it on wearing glasses and/or hat. No negatives to speak of, I look forward to using this on many trips in the future.
This hoody is so well made and looks and feels amazing the pictures on the website are horrible, the stitching is so high quality, this thing is built to last. It looks so much better in person, and I’m just blown away by the functionality of this single piece of gear.
I have been testing this hoodie here in Michigan. Just today I hiked with a brynje mesh baselayer , the hoodie and a rain coat. It was 30 degrees and snowing. I was toasty warm. I think it's going to be a great addition to my pack.
